Daitsu-ji Temple (Nagahama City, Shiga Prefecture)

Odsuji Temple is a branch temple of the Otani sect of Shinshu (Higashi Honganji) and is officially called Mugechizan Odsuji Temple. It is generally known as "Nagahama Gobo" or "Gobo-san. The temple gate is made of total zelkova construction, giving it the atmosphere of entering the world of Momoyama culture. The main hall and the hall are important cultural properties and are said to be the remains of Fushimi Castle, giving visitors a sense of the splendor of the Momoyama culture. In addition, the side gate is a relocated version of the main gate of Nagahama Castle, and many of the buildings have been designated as cultural assets. The barriers of the guest rooms, Hozanken and Rantei, were painted by Kano Sangaku and Sansetsu, and Maruyama Okyo, and the garden is designated as a national place of scenic beauty.
