Takatsuki Kannon no Sato History and Folklore Museum

The first floor exhibition room of the Takatsuki Kannon no Sato Museum of History and Folklore displays many statues of Kannon Bosatsu, which has been most popular among the masses throughout the ages and has been sculpted in various forms. This exhibit provides visitors with an opportunity to become familiar with Buddhist thought and art. In the second floor exhibition hall, visitors can explore the historical, religious, and cultural characteristics of "Kannon no Sato, Takatsuki" through the history and folklore of the Hohoku region, which has been open to the public since ancient times. The second floor special exhibition area displays 36 items from the Yoshu-kai's collection of "Materials Related to Yoshu Amemori," out of a total of 111 records and 333 items related to the Korean envoys. The UNESCO "Memory of the World" exhibition corner, newly established to commemorate this registration, provides visitors with easy-to-understand explanations of its importance through quizzes and panels.
