The Button Temple in Nagahama is famous for its large flowers, which bloom throughout the temple grounds from late April. The main deity is Yakushi Nyorai, and the temple is the 31st temple of the Yakushi Sacred Shrine of Yakushi in the western part of Japan. In the front yard of the main hall grows a plum tree and a pine tree, called "Matsu-ume-no-ki," which are said to bring good luck for business.
