Kurokabe Music Box Museum

The Kurokabe Music Box Museum offers a world of healing, focusing on the charm of the music box. It is also known as a place to experience crafts, and offers glass, pottery, and figure making classes. These classes are designed for beginners as well. Of particular note is the decorated music box experience class. Participants choose a music box with a song of their choice and create their own music box using glasswork and glass sand. This experience can also use glasswork purchased at the Glass Museum, and is held in a thoroughly corona-proof manner. This hands-on class is popular with families, women, and couples. There are four sessions held at 10:30, 12:00, 14:00, and 15:30, lasting approximately 60 minutes. The maximum number of participants is 25, and the fee depends on the type of music box and the number of glass parts. This experience is very popular because participants can create their own original music box. The time required is 1 hour and 30 minutes, and the experience takes place at the Kurokabe Music Box Museum in Motohama-cho, Nagahama City, Shiga Prefecture.
